Jen Moody is a green-eyed, blonde hair cutie-pie who is originally from Fort Worth, Texas. But in the summer of her eighth-grade year her family moved to Springville, Alabama. Because she didn’t know anyone in her new hometown she locked herself in her room for two weeks and with a guitar songbook she had picked up at a church conference… Jen taught herself to play guitar.

The songs she learned were praise songs and Jen’s very first audience was her Mom & Dad in their kitchen where she debuted a gospel song she had written. In that family kitchen Jen had found her passion. She continued her passion playing in the church band throughout her teens. She recorded her first Gospel EP when she was just a high school sophomore and that’s when a fellow guitar player at her school noticed her natural talent and exposed her to a different kind of music … Country Music! The duo started writing songs together and even played regularly at a local restaurant where they would pack the place every Friday night.

Today Jen’s packing the Honkytonks, bars and concert halls with a sound that has been explained as Sheryl Crowe meets Traci Chapman. With a sound like that it’s no surprise that she has recently opened for Country recording artist Lonestar; Ty Herndon; Julie Roberts; Wade Hayes; Anita Cochran, Sister Hazel and American Idol – Diana DeGarmo.

“It’s like I woke up in my own dream!”… says Jen. “Writing, playing and singing with people I’ve listened to on the radio and see on TV is almost unbelievable to me. Sometimes I have to pinch myself and say… is this really happening to me?”

It is happening… and with her freshly penned sound, smokin’ hot band and Jen’s All-American good looks it’s going to be happening more and more!
